Tulipan Floral is a boutique flower shop & studio dedicated to the art of flowers. Our style is simple, elegant and chic. Known for our exquisite everyday arrangements, flowers for home decor and specialty bridal work. Tulipan provides full floral services for weddings, gatherings and events.
Owner and lead designer, Dorothy Kelley-Farias is originally from an artistic and culturally rich town in central Mexico that helped shaped her love for art and colors. She has been passionate about flowers, plants and art since early childhood, always inspired by the everyday beauty that surrounds. Dorothy has over ten years of experience doing floral design ; she started her floral career by working along top interior decorators in San Francisco by offering unique floral staging designs for private higher-end homes and now has a boutique floral shop in Berkeley offering artistic everyday floral arrangements and full service floral designs for weddings. Her unique work combines traditional and contemporary techniques with current design trends to create artistic and meaningful arrangements for her clients.
A long time Berkeley resident, Dorothy earned her B.A. in Environmental Studies with a focus on sustainability from UCSC before undertaking her studies in floristry, horticulture, landscape design, and ceramics from programs at San Francisco City College, Merrit College and the Pim Design Academy in the Netherlands.
